Hotel Stayed At: None

Report by: A <>
From: Napa, Ca
This trip report is brought to you by the numbers 0 and 1, and by the letters D and T (don't worry, this will make sense later in our story).

Our story begins at 7:30pm when our hero escapes from LV airport intact with luggage and only 25 minutes behind schedule. Friends that live in Vegas arive to pick him up, but have to circle around due to the mean rent-a-cop lady at the arrival pick up area trying to give them a ticket for waiting in the waiting area. Our hero then is taken over to a mall in Henderson where the guy our Hero is staying with (RD) needs to have some beenies made for his boss. Our Hero and the girl he is staying with (J) decide to get some coffee whilst they wait. Walking over to the coffee shop they pass by a maniquin with a bikini on, not that uncommon at a mall. But the maniquin's bikini top has been untied and hangs open over her hard plastic chesticles. Walking back with coffee in tow our Hero points out that the maniquins bikini bottoms are now pulled down as well. Interesting start of a trip.

Shortly our Hero is taken to RD and J's condo appartment. After milling around and visiting friends not often seen, they quickly eat, change, and prepare to go dancing for the night with some of RD's family. They drive over to the Palms to dance the night away at Rain at around eleven at night. Only to discover is dismay that the line for Rain is over 5 hours long. But wait! RD and J are now VIP's and they walk to the front of the line with our Hero following close behind. They finally meet up with RD's family and friends that are going out with them. Nine people. Seven more than expected, and six of them are completly unknown to RD and J. So our Hero, RD, and J skip through the line and bypass the $40 cover for entrance. RD calls in a favor from his boss who gets all 9 of the others in past the line and the cover. Also giving everyone wristbands allowing them into the VIP area upstairs with the beautiful people. That's right sports fans, our Hero is now upstairs with the ultra hotties, and looking over the "common" people on the crowded floor below. After several hours of dancing, drinking, flirting with the rich and famous hotties (several pop stars were on location to cheer our Hero on), and shooting spit balls at the "common" people on the floor below, all are exhausted. And fairly drunk (except for RD). J decides that our Hero needs to have a Vegas girlfriend and invites T back to their appartment for some hot tub excitment. Departing Rain (and feeling a little bit sorry for the common people still in line, but not enough to lose sleep over), our Hero, RD, J, and T jump into the hot tub only to find out that it is cold, which irritates J substancially. RD decides he needs to sleep anyway since he is DJing on New Years Eve. J makes up an inflatable bed (like those ones you see on TV) and continues to drink with T and our Hero. Our Hero now growing tired takes a shower and changes into his pajamas which is quickly done by T, and J decides that her night is over as well. Our Hero curls up on the inflatable bed (which feels like a weird waterbed) with T and falls asleep.
END OF DAY ONE
Amount spent on cover charges: $0
Amount spent on alcohol: $55
Amount spent on food: $0
Amount spent on gambling: $0
Number of times asked to leave VIP area: 2
Number of bouncers threated to be fired: 5
Number of spitballs shot into to crowd of common people: 17
Time sleep was finally allowed: 6:00am

START OF DAY TWO
Our Hero is awakened by a sharp elbow to the chest by T far to early in the morning. Spending the morning/day doing things that adults do, our Hero finally jumps out of bed at the crack of 4:00pm. It's New Years Eve! T is dropped of where her mother is staying, and our Hero, RD, and J make their way over to the Golded Nugget downtown. RD sets up for his night, then they all make their way over to the cafe in the Golden Nugget. Surprised by the quality of the food, and the decor of the hotel RD discovers that his start time is one hour later than he previously thought. Our Hero and J spot some women walking into the hotel. J points out that the older one is hot. Our Hero hartily agrees, and points out the younger one is hotter and probably her daughter. Then the two get closer and J (not wanting to be outdone) points out that the older one looks like she has had too many facelifts. Our Hero and J decide to get wristbands for Fremont Street while RD does some last minute preparing for his night. Walking up and down Fremont Street our Hero and J discover the 52 oz football of beer for $6. Our Hero buys one. J finds a bar on Fremont Street and buys a vinilla stoli and red bull and our Hero gets the bartender to refil his football, and for $7. J complains that the prices they usually have are a lot higher because of New Years, and they would normally cost only $1.75 a drink. Our Hero finally makes his way into the Fremont Casino with J to do some gambling. After quickly losing on a slot, J decides that she would like to gamble for her 3rd time. Then the amazing happens, she wins a whopping $12.50. They wait in line for the change lady to cash in the winnings which took 20 minutes, fast considering they were the second ones in line. Finally getting to the front, the lady promptly slaps her "window closed" sign down and trys to walk away, until J freaks out at her (she is now on her second vinilla stolli and red bull), and points out the long line. The lady actually relents and starts collecting the winnings for dollars. Feeling better about everything our Hero and J emerge from the Fremont just in time for "The Fremont Street Experience." Classic rock is played and the lights above are all flickering in various neat patterns of guitars, lips, and countless other things. As soon as the experience was finished, the live bands started banging away on their instruments. Tonights show was .38 special and Big Bad Voodoo Daddies. After watching briefly the both make their way to Zax, the place where RD is DJing. They sit, order more drinks and start making a lot of noise when the curtain opens and there is RD! Doing his thing on New Years Eve. And he has a Go-Go dancer on each side of him! After needing a moment to realize it, our Hero and J discover the incredible, the Go-Go dancers were the two women they had noticed comming into the casino earlier! A small crowd finally starts to enter and dance and the hour finally hits midnight. Happy New Year! J gives our Hero a kiss, then runs up and gives RD a kiss. Our Hero and J quickly run back out to Fremont Street just in time to be covered in clouds of confetti falling from overhead and the cheer of revelers on the street. They soon make it back to Zax and notice there is now a cover charge to get inside. They don't pay. However people are starting to find Zax even in its hidden area and zero promotion the hotel did. J decides to start drinking beer. More people come in. Our Hero hits on the younger of the two Go-Go dancers they had noticed earlier when she was on her break (he snuk up on stage, then pointed out that he was with RD). She was hot. She was Russian. She had a stomach like Britney Spears. They continued to party on, lots of workers from the hotel found their way over and random partiers. RD's family showed up to see him after a while. They were M, TM, and S. Many drinks later the manager of Zax decides that the night is going good (the cover charge was dropped after they made enough to pay for everything) and decides that he wants RD to stay later, more people are dancing than not. Finally the night is over, our Hero, RD, and J go and drop off the check RD made at the casino to RD's boss, who gives RD a different check. They then pick up T at the Jockey Club (a time share hotel on the strip) and head back to the appartment. T had gone back to Rain for New Years Eve and saw Grandmaster Flash, and admited that he sucked. Again after having more adult beverages they finally trickle off to sleep.

START OF DAY THREE
Our Hero is awakened in the morning by T to partake in some New Years Day adult things. Eventually all are awake and they make their way to Ceasars to eat. After meeting up with S (RD's Dad), M and TM (RD's Aunt and Uncle, S's Sister), and O (T's Mom and S's Girlfriend) they make their way to The Cheesecake Factory. After a short wait they are seated (O and TM decided to gamble). The food was great, and in huge portions. They screwed up on J's order (she's a picky eater) so she got a free hunk of cheesecake for desert, and the server called T "Little Buddy". M just sat at the table and drank strawberry martini's. Our Hero decided not to eat desert and stepped out to smoke, and got to see the neat little Atlantis show that happens every hour. After eating all eventually made it over to The Jockey Club to have jello shots and. By the time the jello shots were ready however S, O, and TM had fallen asleep. Our Hero and RD were passing the time by playing an odd game of ring toss with a wristband that was on the table until M took it away. Eventually they got it back and started playing with T as well. Then M took it away again. After getting fairly giddy on jello shots, our Hero, RD, J, and T decided that since they didn't have a whole lot of money left that drinking at the appartment would be a fine end to another night instead of going out to clubs. Our Hero paid for some extra liquor (he was the only one with money left) and soon they were having drinks and playing an Austin Powers trivia game. J (who had become really "moody") and T decided they didn't like the game due to the fact they couldn't get an answer right. RD and our Hero relented and just watched an Austin Powers movie instead. After much more drinking everyone woke up RD and finally went to bed.

START OF DAY FOUR
Our Hero was awakened again by T climbing onto him. After calming T down our Hero was about to fall back asleep, but alas RD came into the room saying that his family was going to be here in a moment. When S, O, M, and TM arive T leaps out of bed with our Hero. All quickly change then head over to T's cousins (D) house to pick up something stupid. Our Hero sees the sun for the first time in this entire trip. All decide to head over to a small resteraunt nearby (in Henderson) to eat breakfast/lunch. Upon arriving D's on the phone with someone saying to calm down et cetera and that she would have to leave to help someone. Everyone else decided that she was really just trying to get out of eating with them. Shortly after getting seated, our Hero and TM make a bet on who would have to get up more. While waiting for food (an extrodinarly long time) TM and S begin to play the classic game of desktop football. Which leads them to playing desktop hockey after S sends the football flying over TM's head and into an occupied booth several away. The hockey puck was one of those non-dairy creamers in a plastic cup thing with a paper lid. After deciding that it wasn't slick enough, they use their forks to send it flying through the air at each other in another version of desktop football. Soon they are flicking it towards each other until it finally exploded on S's hand. S grabbed another and wanted to up the ante and poked a hole in the lid. TM decided that he was done playing. Eventually food came for everyone but TM and our Hero, and RD's was wrong. After a 15 minute wait TM chased the waitress down and the rest of their food was brought out. Everyone quickly was done eating and waiting for the bill. This took another 20 minutes to make it's way out. All went outside to say good-bye's, then RD ran back inside realizing that he had forgotten his debit card. This was 20 minutes later, and the table still had not been cleared. RD began hunting for someone to pay the bill to, eventually finding someone that would take it and not say just a moment. T had left with S, O, M, and TM. S, O, and T had to drive back to Vallejo, Ca and were just starting (an 11 hour drive). RD and J took our Hero to the Airport, because sadly this trip to Vegas comes to an end.
