Hotel Stayed At: Paris

Report by: Pete B. <>
From: New Jersey
And were off! I visit Vegas every year, this is my 2nd time staying at the Paris. I was going on a comp 3 nights from the last time I stayed there.

My wife and I flew America West from EWR, 7:50am flight. Wanted this flight so we will be in Vegas at 10:40am. Plenty of time to fill our agenda! Well the flight which normally takes a little over 5 hrs took 6 hours and 10min. Due to the strong Head winds up top! We didnt arrive till noon! So much for my agenda. Got our Lugggage and headed to the Taxi Line, I would never take a shuttle. Took it once, we were on it forever and the last stop. It cost as much as taking a taxi with the tip then riding the shuttles from Hell! So anyway, I found this Luggage handler at the airport, he said he can get me to #2 in the taxi line, I said what the hell I'm tired wanted to get to the casino, gave him $10, Sure enough we were # 2 in line. Got to the Paris, tried for an upgrade to suite, the Lady told me that since they are now Harrahs Total Rewards, they do not upgrade anymore! So I ened up getting a corner room , on the 25th floor, Corner rooms at the Paris are great, so much bigger than you regular standard room. Proceded down to Bally's for lunch at Sidewalk cafe. Very reasonable place, couple of drinks and Keno and I was happy.

Later that night we had reservations at Fiore's steakhouse in the Rio. Took the Free Shuttle from Bally's to the Rio. it runs every 1/2 hour. On the walk through the casino to the steakhouse, a dancer standing on a stage surrounded by slot machines was dancing, apparently this was the norm at the Rio. People cheering her on and playing the slots, Wow a strip club and I did not have to pay any cover to get in, My wife did not appreciate this, so we had to leave! Darn!
Well anyway Dinner at Fiore's could have been better for the price,,, I started out with a Caesar salad which is made at the table, very goos then got the 24 oz porterhouse steak and we spit a side of mushrooms and potatoes. The sides were 8 to 9 dollars a pop. My steak was 39, but was full of grizzle on one side. I complained to the Waiter and tols him, he said he was surprised, usually the steaks are a good cut of meat, Could of fooled me,,,he did not offer any thing off the price or a new steak, we also got the desert for two, souflee which had to be ordered before dinner, which was fantastic , throw in a bottle of wine and the bill was $180 for two people... Went back to the Paris to gamble lost $200 and called it a night...
Stay tuen for the next days report!
