First trip report for me so I hope it's not too boring..

Flight: Southwest out of Providence, RI. The flight was pretty good -no major problems except for the landing in Vegas. Really a big bump and a little scary. I think the alcohol we consumed helped keep us calm.

There were 4 of us travelling together so two of us went for the bags and the other two went to check in at the Flamingo check in at the airport. J tried the $20.00 trick but I don't think it helped anyone but the guy who took the money. She didn't tell him that we needed a room with two queen beds or non smoking. I asked her what did he say about the room? She said, "nothing. he just gave me the keys." Oh boy! Scared about that. Luggage came in about 20 mins. We were going to take a limo but when we walked outside, a guy came up and said $5.00 a piece for the shuttle to Flamingo and it would be his second stop. Sure enough we were there in 15mins! Not Bad..

So, we headed up to the room on the 16th floor. I was a little worried that we wouldn't have the two beds since we were only saying that there were two of us and not four. However, we opened the door and were very happy with two queen beds, non-smoking, and we could see the fountains with minor blockage. Not Bad!

We didn't land till 6:oopm so it was now about 7:30pm...off we go to show our friends some of the strip. We took a right out of Flamingo and stopped in every casino on the way down the strip. O'shea's first for a $1 beer then we kept on going playing a little in each place. At IP I played rapid roulette - started with $20.00 and got up to $120.00 - cashed out at $80! Pretty happy with that. The main goal of the night was to get to the Venetian to see some of the Porn stars walking around. We went to TAO and saw a huge line but J went up to the bouncer and asked if we could get in the lounge for a drink. He said to head right in!!

Tao has the best Mojitos around -expensive but so good. We each got one and found a seat on one of the couches and then just watched the show. And it was quite a show! Some of the clothes or should I say lack of clothes on the ladies were amazing. We stayed there for about 2 hrs. then decided to head back. I was starving and needed some food since my last meal was at 12:00 EST. and it was now almost midnight! So, J and I stopped at Jimmy Buffet's and had a burger. Finally got back to the room around 1:00am - 4:00 am for our bodies. I was still ready to go since I normally work midnights but off to bed we went.

Got up at 6:30 am and quickly got dressed. We left a $10.00 tip for the maid since she would be the only one to know that we had 4 people in the room. She seemed quite happy with that so we had no problems. We had reservations as Commander Palace for 12:00pm so we decided to walk to BC, Bally's,Paris and then Planet Hollywood. We played a little here and there and took lots of pics. At Commanders Palace they tried to tell us that they didn't have the 25 cent martinis because they were closing. We told them that we went there just for that and that they still advertised it. So they did give us the martinis but no lunch special but we didn't mind ordering off the regular menu. Our food was great and the 12 martinis that the 4 of us had were excellent. So sad that they are closing...the manager told us that the deal they had with the Venetian fell thru and they didn't have a place to go. He said that they would hopefully find another place soon.

After our mostly liquid lunch we continued to play at Planet Hollwood and then walked towards MGM. We made to MGM and stayed there for quite some time. I don't remember much since we had many drinks thru out the day. I do remember J playing the silver strike machine and winning 18 silver strikes!!! It was crazy that she kept winning. We went to a bar that had great music and the bartenders danced on the bar. The drinks there were great! Later we went to NY-NY and went to Coyote Ugly. We walked in and this chick was on the bar pouring shots down everyone's throat. Plus saying some pretty nasty things.."come over here so I can sit on your face"...fun stuff...we stayed there for a while but then I had trouble standing up so it was time to head back to the room. It was probably around 10:00pm at this point and we had been going since 6:30am. Once back at the Flamingo we played some VP then went up to the room for room service. Don't ever get room service at the Flamingo!! It was the worst food we have ever had!!! Our friends had gone back to Paris to listen to the Dueling pianos and stayed out till 4:00 am...We were already in bed having our hangovers by the time they got in.

Day 2

Once we were up and moving, J and I walked down towards Harrah's to go to Starbucks. On the way back, we went into IP to play a little. I wanted to play rapid roulette but the machine wasn't up and running yet. So I played roulette at the table...I put $40.00 down and walked out with $100! Very happy..J won a little bit playing VP so it was a good start to our day. Our friends were finally up and moving so we decided to go to RIO for the day. Took the shuttle from Bally's and went right to the Buffet. I didn't realize that the Brunch was going on until we paid but it was so worth it. The food was great and I had about 6 glasses of champagne! After that we went to the I-bar to watch the football games. The we watched the masquerade in the sky - it was ok. J loves it so I humor her and watch it with her. Our friends were very happy with the Chippendale boys so they took their pic with them. Then we went up to the VooDoo Lounge for drinks. It is just amazing up there at night..took lots of pictures. Didn't really stay outside to long because it was so cold. (It was freezing everyday we were there)

Our friends had to leave RIO to go to the Thunder Down Under so we stayed and went over to Gold Coast. I played roulette for quite awhile and J played VP. It was our first time there and we really liked it. After playing for a bit we went to the Cortez to eat. The food and service were the best we had! I highly recommend this place!
By this time we were pretty tuckered and decided to take a cab back to the Flamingo. Once there we played a little bit more then hit the sack. Our friends came in around 4 again! They were having quite a time for themselves. (BTW, I'm 37 and the other 3 are in their late 40's) So staying up that late was alot of fun for them.

Day 3

Got a late start on the day. Trying to recover from all the drinking and lack of sleep. I will say that the cold temps really helped when walking around. Alot better then when it's 115 out and you have been drinking for hours. J and I went down to the IP and once again I played with $40 on Roulette..cashed out at $120! Gotta love that. Sunday was a great day for me gambling. We walked down to the Wynn and decided to play a little bit there. First we played at the VP bar - very strange that a woman came up to up to make sure we were playing $1 a hand before she comped us for our beer! I think the Wynn makes enough money to give a beer once and in awhile. After our beer we decided to play some slots...I can't remember the name of the slot but if you hit the bonus there was wheel up top that would spin and give you more credits. Well, this machine loved me! after $40 - I cashed out at $100. We then went to a sizzling 7 machine and won $75 which I gave to J. While there, J was talking to the player card lady.. she told her that a guy had just bet $100,000 on one hand and lost!!! I couldn't believe it! We stayed there for a bit then decided to walk down the strip. I really wanted to show J the Peppermill Lounge. We made it down there and the wait for breakfast/lunch was about 20 mins. so we went into the lounge. The lounge there is so amazing. We were able to get a seat around the fire pit and watch the football games...our friends called to say that they were finally up. They took a cab and joined us for the PATS game. The lounge was a great place to watch the game but the fire was starting to put me to sleep so at half time we walked to the Rivera to watch the game at the Sports betting area...Such a great game and I won my bet!! $72.00! I was really doing well on the gambling that day! J and I went to TI while our friends went to the WYNN. I was really tired and cranky from all the drinking and not eating so I wasn't really having much fun. We finally made it to the Mirage and ate at Carngie Deli which really helped me out. After that we went to the MB to the Red Square and had martinis then I was done for the night. We played a couple silver strike machines - won three of the them then took a cab back to Flamingo. Gambled a little then to bed we went..our friends stumbled in around 5~!

Our last day!! how sad...J and I were up bright and early to hit some places that we missed. We went to IP to see if my luck would continue...which it did not! I was so sad that my ATM had finally dried up. We decided to go to Caeser's and try our luck there. I barely made it out alive on Roulette but J did really well on the nickle slots. Slowly we made our way over to Bellagio. We wanted to go to the Fontana bar and play VP at number 69. It was only 10:00am and I swore to myself that I wouldn't have anything to drink...but, we were at the Fontana bar!!! So, I decided I would pay for real drinks and we ordered two martinis...I got a choc. martini and J got a grey goose straight up with a twist. The bill was $34.00! My martini was $20! We were playing the $1 VP for a bit and were the only ones there so we were talking to the bartender...he ended up comping our drinks for us! I cant' wait to go back to that bar! After that we had to go back to our room to check out. We were able to get a 12:00 check out which was good. So we start packing and realized that the bottles of alcohol we brought hadn't even been opened yet. So, of course we opened those up! 4 drinks later we are packed up and ready to move! We had an hour to kill so I went to
Roulette and J went to VP. I put down $40 and cashed out at $120. J won about $80 on VP. Plus we both had a couple more drinks. Our friends finally found us and dragged us to the cab.

Such a good time...we didn't really want to leave! We loved staying at the Flamingo and can't wait to go back. We are hoping to go in July this year for J's 50th!

Our flight back was good and we were home by 1:00 am Monday night. Luckily J and I didn't have to work for a few more days but our friends had to get up in the am for work!

I hope this wasn't too boring!
