Hotel Stayed At: Paris

Report by: Cassie <kitty.kitty@cogeco.ca>
From: Niagara Falls, Canada
This is my first report but have been the Sin City dozens of times. Flight out of Toronto was on time and had a short stopover in Calgary. Landed in Vegas on time at 9:30 p.m. Check-in was fast but a smoking room was not available. Who cares for one night as we started gambling right away.I went with my daughter-in-laws stepmother D. Moved to a renovated room on the 27th.floor the next day to a smoking room. The room was lovely but a little small. Don't know what all the gripes are about the non renovated rooms as our first night was on the 20th. floor and it was immaculate. No stains or dust anywhere. We had a really upbeat attitude and I think that helps when dealing with the staff as we were treated very well. No complaints about Paris at all. One thing we did notice was that of all the casinos we were in we did NOT HEAR ONE JACKPOT BELL GO OFF for 4 days. Gambling was so-so. Played mostly nickel slots. Double Diamond and triple diamond 9 line ones. The most I won on a single spin was $300.00 at The Venitian but lots of $50.00 to $150.00 wins. Up and down.I wanted to play Let-It-Ride but only found 1 table at Bally's that had a $5.00 table going and was ticked off when they raised the minimum to $10..00 and didn't grandfather me. So I left. Played mostly in Harrah's properties as this trip was totally comped and want to come back again comped.I actually ended up coming home with half the money I went with so I figure I came home a winner. D & I had great weather. 80 degrees which was a relief from the 30 degree we came from.Went to Benihana for dinner. It is the best. Great food and lots of fun with our chef. Downtown was ok but we like the strip. OH Ya. went to Ellis Island. You can't get a better meal for $6.95 which included the drink.Went to The Outlet Mall on Las Vegas Blvd. Dissapointing tho. No real bargains and as I work for Tommy Hilfiger I was expecting great stuff but it was a disaster. The store was a mess and I am use to an immaculate store.Overall we had a great time and experienced only the best from everyone we encountered. My advice is to have a happy and cheerful attitude when checking into the hotel and you will get the best from them.Smile and LAY IT ON THICK. Hope this wasn't too boring as we didn't see any shows or meet anyone famous. Hope to get back to Vegas soon. For all of you going soon have a great trip and GOOD LUCK.
